Organized in 1998 to promote the ideals of the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution in the Mid-Hudson River Valley counties of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Orange, Highland Pass Society is named for a path that wove between the Hudson Highlands, connecting these communities during the American Revolution - and today.
We are proud to be one of the most active C.A.R. societies in New York State - and even the nation. Just a few examples: we host an annual holiday party for the Veterans the Castle Point VA Medical Center, we plan an annual 9/11 Ceremony each year, march in local parades, promote patriotism in schools and community groups and hold joint events with 7 DAR and SAR Chapters. Our members were the official Color Guard for all of the American Revolution 225th Anniversary events in the region. We have also been honored to have 9 of our members serve as the New York State President including the current State President, Allison Cassidy.
Meetings are usually held on Sunday afternoon, September thru February, including programs and hands on activities. Many additional events are on our calendar and everyone is welcomed to participate. Please contact us at: HighlandPassSociety@gmail.com for information about membership and events.
