Ensign Robert Wilson Society is anchored in Monroe County and is part of the Great Lakes District of New York.
Meetings are often held (on Sundays) at the Irondequoit DAR Chapter House in Rochester, NY., but also at other historic places in Lima, Groveland and Seneca Falls. This past year we have visited the Wild Wings Nature Center, had our annual pool party and picnic meeting in Webster NY, and had meetings in Rochester and Lima. Upcoming events will include a tour of the Lockport Caves in a boat, under the city! We are also hoping to have our own encampment and set up tents for a meeting and overnight experience. Possible visits to the Geneseo War Plane Museum, Genesee Country Village and Museum and the Ganandoga Historic Site.
We are very fortunate to have the support of several local DAR chapters, the DAR District VII, and the Rochester SAR Chapter. The three groups do many things together, such as a Veterans Day ceremony, Mt Hope Revolutionary War Tour at historic Mt Hope Cemetery , the Waterloo Memorial Day parade and attending each others meetings.
We welcome perspective members and all our young pee wees! You are never too young to come to a meeting. We always have arts and crafts for our Peewee members.
